Ingredients
  

  • 1 can of cinnamon roll dough about 12–13 ounces
  • 1 20-ounce can apple pie filling (or about 2 cups homemade)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour if needed for thickening
  • ¼ cup heavy cream optional

Optional: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, extra cinnamon or nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease a 9-inch pie dish lightly.
  • Flatten each cinnamon roll to about ¼ inch and press into the dish to form a crust.
  • Mix apple pie filling with brown sugar (and flour if the filling is runny). Spread evenly.
  • Place remaining flattened rolls on top or create a lattice pattern.
  • Brush melted butter over the top crust.
  • Optional: Drizzle ¼ cup heavy cream over everything.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until dough is golden and filling is bubbly.
  • Cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
