Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries hulled and halved
  • 2 –4 tbsp granulated sugar to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp water for stovetop method only

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Prep berries – Rinse, dry, hull, and slice strawberries in half.
  • Stovetop method – Combine strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally until softened.
  • Blend – Transfer to a blender and blend until smooth. For a thicker sauce, pulse gently.
  • Strain (optional) – Press through a fine-mesh sieve for a silky-smooth texture.
  • Taste & adjust – Add more sugar or lemon if needed. Let cool before serving or storing.
  • No-cook option – Blend raw strawberries, lemon juice, and sugar until smooth. Strain if desired.
