Ingredients
  

  • 3 –4 ripe bananas mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ –1 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup melted butter or oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

(Optional) ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts

(Optional) 1 teaspoon cinnamon or other spices

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease or line a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • In one bowl, mash the bananas; in another, whisk eggs, sugar, and butter (or oil).
  • Combine mashed bananas with the egg-sugar mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  • Add any optional mix-ins, then pour batter into the loaf pan.
  • Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use overripe bananas with plenty of brown spots. They’re packed with flavor and keep the loaf irresistibly moist.
